Centripetal or centrifugal rash?

petal means foot, from head to foot
eg. chicken pox,

fugal
eg. small pox, plague, DHF, ricketssia,
infant of chicken pox mother, risky, give Ig 400mg / kg if varicella Ig not available, isolate mother from baby for atlease 10 days or till all mothers lesions are crusted. observe baby for s/s varicellar, if signs positive give acyclovir IV, not oral b/c absorbtion may not be very effective,

CO2 retention in new neonate, ventilated, think of a pneumothorax as well, if prem do not give too much oxygen, take a lateral x ray as well, but make sure you do not obstruct view with babies hand, it makes it more difficult to see the pneumothorax, may not need to do a chest x ray if can observe for some time
